We had an overall really positive experience with Mother’s Helpers. We appreciated that Karen was able to connect us with overnight care very last-minute after our baby was born. All of the doulas were very loving toward our daughter and had helpful knowledge and suggestions with regard to sleep, feeding, and other infant care topics. Having them there overnight allowed my spouse and I to sleep soundly knowing she was in good hands.

Katie helped our family adjust to a family of 5 after I had an unexpected emergency c-section with our daughter. Katie’s help in the evenings and overnights was invaluable for my recovery from surgery, as well as the mental and emotional transition for the whole family. She picked up all kinds of slack around the house, often without being asked, knowing what was needed without needing to be told.
Allison was amazing and we cannot recommend her enough. She was able to pitch in when our daughter arrived a bit earlier than expected, and immediately put us at ease as we handled those chaotic first few days home from the hospital. She was also great at caring for the whole family: checking in on my postpartum recovery, giving us helpful tips on how to care for a newborn, and generally making our lives easier.
I found Mother’s Helpers about seven years ago and it’s been life changing for our family. We have nicknamed the company “Mother’s Mentors.” Karen has a qualified, loving team that has enabled priceless bandwidth and joy in our lives.
Jen was our day doula for several weeks after our daughter (third child) was born. She was absolutely amazing! Jen brought joy and calm to our house each day she came. She helped care for our daughter so we could get some rest after long nights, and she helped with laundry and dishes, which was so appreciated.
As a 3rd time mom I was especially worried about how sleep deprivation would affect our ability to show up for our older two children and enjoy the newborn phase of what is likely our last baby. The best thing we did was hire Melissa. She was patient, flexible, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made the often challenging “fourth trimester” one that we were able to enjoy with both our children and each other.
